Completed electronic purchase orders submitted through our our online store, www.shop.burma-center.org are considered binding. The buyer recognizes and agrees to the terms and conditions of purchase for the shipment of goods. In order that goods be delivered successfully, all required information must be provided in full. Personal data provided will be used only as needed and will not be shared with third parties. Your personal data will be used for the purposes of completing your order. Upon request, after the delivery of your order, and we will remove your personal data from our records.
2. Fulfillment of Orders
The period for filling orders consists of the time from which binding orders are received until shipments of ordered items are handed over to the deliverer – Czech Post or directly to the customer in the of case in-person pick-ups. Orders shall be filled within 1 to 3 business days from the time that they are received. Customers will be notified upon shipment of their order by email.
3. Price and methods of payment
Prices listed on our online store include value-added tax (VAT). The price listed at the time an order is placed is binding. Only prices listed in Czech korona (CZK) are binding; prices in other currencies are included for reference only.
You may choose from the following methods of payment:
cash on delivery (COD)
cash for items picked up in-person
by credit card through Pay Pal
We offer two methods of delivery: A. Postal delivery B. In-person pick-up

For COD shipments, an extra fee of 30 CZK will be added to the total price of the order.
We send items via Czech Post, which insures its deliveries and is responsible for unsatisfactory shipments. In case you receive items in damaged packaging, immediately and in the presence of the deliverer check the contents of the package. If any products are damaged, fill out a claims form, listing all damaged items, on the spot with the the deliverer and inform us of the incident. If you have not received your order or notice of attempted delivery of your order after three full business days from the time you have received an email confirming the shipment of your order, write us and we will inquire with the Czech Post whether a delivery has been attempted. In case a package must be resent because the addressee has failed to pick up the package, we will bill you for the entire amount for reshipment.
International Shipment For international shipment, the price of postage is according to the rate schedule of the Czech Post for international deliveries and without the option of COD (it is necessary to pay by bank transfer or via Pay Pal). We presently ship to the following destinations: EU member states, Norway, Switzerland. Shipment costs by default 500 CZK per parcel. Please contact us if you wish to receive an order to a different country. All transactions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Czech law. Place of performance and jurisdiction is Prague, Czech Republic.
B. In-Person Pick-Up It is possible to pick-up ordered items in person at our office, the Burma Center, which is located at Drutěva, Dělnická 54, Praha 7 according to arrangements made via email (page with contact information) or telephone +420-266710045 from Monday to Friday between 10 am and 2 pm Central European time.
5. Guarantee policy and Reclamation
The hand-sewn and embroidered products that we distribute are original, and therefore actual size and colour will not necessarily match samples pictured on the site exactly. Material specifications are only approximations. For all items, we offer a two-year guarantee from the time of sale.
The guarantee does not apply to damage incurred from improper use or to normal wear and tear.
The guarantee does not apply to items damaged during delivery (for damage at the hands of the deliverer).
If a fault is discovered after receiving a package, it is important to inform us of the situation as soon as possible. Send items for reclamation by registered mail (not COD) with the purchase documents and a description of the fault. Upon validation of the reclamation, the fault will be corrected, the product exchanged, or the price of the faulty product will be refunded.
6. Returned Items
In case the buyer, after receiving an order, is dissatisfied for any reason with an item, it is possible to return said item within 14 days. If you would like to return an item, send it back to us by registered post (not COD) or return it in person. Include the purchase documents. The price of returned items will be refunded to the buyer per specified arrangements by post office voucher or by bank transfer to the customer's account.
